Portraits of John Doe
The primary portrait of John Doe was created by combining 1000 publicly available police sketches of suspected criminals into one image. The portrait was “handmade” by repositioning the facial elements to overlay in equal positioning, and setting an opacity of equal value for each sketch. The resulting ghostly figure is a collective representation of an unknown man of suspected wrongdoing.
PoJD Collection
These are variations upon the original PoJD. Each color and portrait/background color combination is meant to evoke a slight difference in emotional response and feeling. The background faces are a grid of the original police sketches used to composite the PoJD. As a reflection of anonymity in the NFT/Crypto space and PFP proliferation, these will each be made available as part of a collection of 1/1 NFTs.
